If this sounds familiar
You find biscuits on the floor around the bowl every single morning, and she's eaten maybe half of what you put down.
There's always a ring of food left around the edge, untouched, and you're not sure if she's full or just done.
The bowl has travelled three feet across the kitchen by the time she's finished, and the water's gone with it.
Why you'll love it
If your cat pulls food onto the floor before eating it, the bowl is usually why.
Wide enough to leave whiskers alone
14.3cm across and only 4cm deep. She can eat without her whiskers brushing the sides - which is what makes cats paw food out of a deep bowl.
Stays where you put it
A weighted silicone base grips tile and laminate. No chasing the bowl across the kitchen, no water tipped down the side of the cupboard.
Lifts out for washing
Both dishes detach from the stand. Food-grade stainless steel, dishwasher safe, and nothing porous for bacteria to sit in.
Food and water, side by side
Two 600ml dishes in one stand. Enough for a full day's water and a generous meal without refilling twice.
How it works
Why bowl depth decides whether they finish
Will it fit
shallow enough for whiskers
5.6 inches across
1.2L across both
cats and small dogs
How to check: watch where your cat sleeps curled up and measure across the circle. If she's wider than about 14 inches, she's a large breed and will push a bowl this size around the floor.
Simple to use
Wash it, place it, and leave it there.
Wash before first use
Both dishes lift out. Run them through the dishwasher or wash by hand, and wipe the silicone base. New stainless sometimes carries a light manufacturing film.
Put it where the old one was
Same spot, same routine. Cats notice a change of location far more than a change of bowl. Keep it away from the litter tray and out of a corner where she'd have her back to the room.
Rinse daily, wash weekly
Water changed and the dish rinsed every day, both dishes through the dishwasher once a week. Stainless is the easiest bowl material to keep genuinely clean, which is the whole reason to use it.
Great for
- Cats of any age, kitten to senior
- Small dogs and puppies up to around 10kg
- Cats who tip or push their bowl around while eating
- Homes with hard floors where bowls slide
- Anyone replacing scratched plastic bowls
- Households feeding one cat food and water together
Not ideal for
- Medium and large dogs - 600ml goes in one sitting and they'll push it around
- Fast eaters who need slowing down. This is a plain bowl, not a slow feeder.
- Raised feeding. The stand sits flat on the floor.
- Households wanting separate bowls in separate rooms - the two dishes share one base.

What actually makes a good cat bowl
Why stainless rather than plastic
Plastic scratches, and the scratches hold bacteria that washing doesn't reach. Those bacteria pressing against a cat's chin at every meal are the common cause of feline chin acne - the blackhead-like spots owners often mistake for dirt. Stainless is non-porous and sterilises properly in a dishwasher.
Why the base is weighted
A light bowl on a hard floor travels. The cat pushes, the bowl slides, food goes over the edge and water ends up under the kickboard. The silicone base holds it still, which matters more day to day than it sounds.
Where you put it matters too
Cats won't settle to eat with their back to an open room, and most refuse a bowl placed near the litter tray. A quiet corner with a view of the doorway gets used; the middle of a busy kitchen floor doesn't.
What it won't do
It won't slow a fast eater down - that needs a slow feeder with ridges, and we sell one. And it's sized for cats and small dogs; a medium or large dog will empty 600ml in one go.

Questions
Before you order
My cat keeps pulling food out of the bowl. Will this stop it?
Usually, yes. It's the most common reason for that behaviour - deep bowls press on the whiskers and cats compensate by moving the food somewhere they can eat it comfortably. At 4cm deep this one doesn't make contact. If it continues after a couple of weeks, the cause is more likely the bowl's position than its shape.
Is it big enough for a dog?
For a small dog or a puppy, yes. A medium or large breed will empty 600ml in a sitting and will push a bowl this size around, so you'd want something heavier and deeper.
Will it slide on a tiled floor?
The base is silicone and grips hard floors. It's designed for a cat eating normally, not for a dog braced against it.
Can I put it in the dishwasher?
The bowls, yes - they lift straight out. Wipe the base by hand instead; repeated dishwasher heat softens the silicone and it stops gripping.
My cat has spots on her chin. Is that related?
It can be. Feline chin acne is often linked to bacteria in scratched plastic bowls pressing against the chin at every meal. Switching to stainless and washing daily resolves a lot of mild cases. If it's sore, swollen or spreading, see your vet.
Does this slow down a fast eater?
No - it's a plain bowl. If your cat inhales meals and then brings them back up, you want a slow feeder with ridges rather than this.
Is stainless steel safe?
It's the material most vets recommend. Food-grade, non-porous, doesn't leach, doesn't hold odour, and sterilises properly.
